The Gold Standard Framework (GSF) is a systematic evidenced based approach to optimising the care for residents nearing the end of life care delivered by staff. It is concerned with helping people to live well until the end of life and includes care in the final years of life for people with any end stage illness in any setting.
GSF improves the quality, co-ordination and organisation of care in many settings including care homes. This enables more residents to receive the type of care they want, in their preferred place, with great efficiency reducing hospital admission.
Staff at Asquith Hall have been trained to deliver excellent end of life care. Failure to provide a gold standard of care at the end of life is not acceptable.
